Rugby Analysis | The Art of Defence - "Weapon X" | Henco van Wyk

I just had to make this video to showcase the genius of Henco van Wyk on defence. It's scary how much he has developed since his high school days, where he was known for his attacking ability. But Henco has developed into one of the best defensive players in South Africa. His tackling technique is truly an artform and there is nobody in the world that has that same technique that he has. He's a turnover machine on defence, and to go with that, he's also the best tackler that I've seen. I don't think I've seen him miss one tackle this whole year. He's also able to destroy ball carriers bigger than him with brutal hits.

The way he combines his Tackling Technique, Rugby IQ and Work Rate is truly a sight to behold.

It's honestly scary to think his attacking is better than defence. It's a shame we don't get to see it more, with the playing style of South African teams. Because I could easily make an hour long video of why he is special on attack.

This video was just to show you guys why I rate him so highly and to show you how he's developed his game to become one of the best all round players. It's a real pity he got injured during his last u20 game because he should've been part of the Lions senior team because he's hands down the best player in their whole squad and that is not even up for debate.
