Maruti Suzuki Wagonr Low Pick Up & Poor Acceleration Problem Solved |Clutch Change | Genuine Spares

We had this 2012 Maruti Suzuki Wagonr, having covered an overall driving mileage of 26k kilometres, visit one of our MotoFyx car repair workshop in a towed state due to a failed clutch. Prior to the breakdown, there was a noticeable performance drop along with a burning smell being observed. With the car refusing to start and seeking a permanent fix to the above concern the car owner reached out to us for immediate assistance.

Upon a detailed inspection of the car by our expert technicians, initial diagnosis did indicate symptoms of a worn out clutch set. Upon further dismantling the gearbox the clutch plate and pressure plate were severely worn out damaging. The clutch release bearing had also become weak due to which the actuation of the clutch set wasn’t smooth.

*Function of the Clutch:
Clutch mechanism is used to both engage and disengage the power transmission from the driving shaft on to the driven shaft, ensuring smooth power transmission to the engine, enabling smooth movement

*Symptoms of weak/failing clutch:
Engine revs but acceleration is poor
Buring smell upon acceleration
Difficulty shifting gears
Hard to operate clutch pedal
Noise from clutch pedal

*Solution:
The gearbox was dismantled and old transmission oil drained out
The worn out clutch set and release bearing were replaced with new Maruti Suzuki genuine spare parts
Gearbox was assembled
Transmission oil was replaced
