The bubble.

Yes, it's still slow. Yes, this is very obviously a demo under tightly controlled environmental conditions. The real test would be to see an appropriately messy kitchen after cooking, eating, with kids screaming, and pets around the feet, all while trying to put things away and clean it all afterwards.

That's the demo we all want and need to see, with a timer. If it's this slow, how much can it get done in a day while everyone is out of the house?

On the flip side, this is only generation 02, and given what I shared from #CES 2026, it's apparent that competitors from China have versions that can move considerably faster and with greater understanding of their physical space.

It's worth pointing out that HELIX is the Vision-Language-Action model, and that FIGURE (currently in v.03) is their #humanoidrobot. It's 5'8'' can handle 20kg, it weighs 61 kg itself, runs for 5 hours on a single charge, and can move at 1.2 m/s.

The company ended its relationship with #OpenAI in February of 2025, to focus on HELIX. The reason given was that general-purpose models weren't suited for #embodiedAI / #physicalAI, and it needed to vertically integrate its own version. It's presently valued near $3 billion.
