The special rules for Split Empire are:
Definitions: A CONTINENT is a landmass with one or more initial capital cities. An ISLAND is a landmass which is not a CONTINENT. A CONTINENT where a player settles the first city is called a PRIMARY CONTINENT.
The game is played on continents map.
A player may pick any civilization except Polynesia to play this game.
After a player settles the first city on a PRIMARY CONTINENT, he/she must settle the second city on a SECONDARY CONTINENT which is not the same as PRIMARY CONTINENT.
At any point in the game the number of cities a player has on a PRIMARY CONTINENT and the number of cities a player has on a SECONDARY CONTINENT must be equal or must differ for one city. This restriction does not apply for ISLANDS and other CONTINENTS.
A player must achieve domination victory!
