Here's a simple way of putting work-life balance in perspective—and why the common advice misses half the problem.
Most working professionals struggle with "work-life balance." But let's be honest: the whole concept is sad. It indicates that when you're working, you don't really have a life.
But let's not get into nomenclature. Let's look at the REAL issue.
The Numbers:

Reported hypertension cases in India have almost DOUBLED since the beginning of the 21st century
According to articles, almost 50% of India's youth experience depression in their life

Numbers can be arbitrary. But just look around—more tense faces, more depressing phases than before.
The Big Myth:
"It's all simply because of workplace stress."
That's just NOT true. That's only HALF of it.
The Reality:
An average working professional spends most of their awake hours at the workplace during the week.
But when they wake up and when they go to bed—when they're in their own space and time—they're at HOME.
A toxic household is equally responsible, if not MORE, for an unhealthy mental state.
The Simple Perspective:
1. Your Workplace 🏢
Let's try to have a workplace—be it a job or a business—where we would WANT to go everyday.
Let's choose:

The profession wisely
The work culture carefully
The people we work with intentionally

2. Your Home 🏠
Let's make a home where we'd WANT to come back to.
Let's try to:

Sort family dynamics
Communicate more often at home
Build relationships with family that SOOTHE instead of stressing us out even more

The Brutal Truth:
If you have a toxic workplace → You come home stressed.
If you have a toxic home → You go to work stressed.
And a lot of us have to deal with BOTH.
You're carrying stress from one toxic environment to another, all day, every day. There's no recovery. There's no peace.

The Urgent Request:
If you are someone who has the power to turn your workplace or your home into a better place—I urge you to PLEASE do it.
Whether you're:

A manager who can change workplace culture
A business owner who can create better environments
A family member who can improve home dynamics
A partner who can communicate better

DO IT.
It'll save a lot of lives.
Not exaggerating. Mental health crises are real. Suicide rates are real. Depression is real.
If you can make either environment better, you're literally saving lives.
