I finally got into soldering jewelry and have been looking around a video that would show me everything I need to know to start soldering.
And I could not find it - so I looked around few tutorials on youtube, then decided to order my first soldering iron that did not work.
Then I did more research and stumbled upon soldering iron I talk about in this video. It is super affordable and quality is great! It has temperature control that what I learned is important when making working with metal and soldering.

All these tool and supplies I found on my own, tested and now sharing with you as I think that they are amazing and will make your soldering easy. I think when you start something new it is very important to get a successful result to motivate us to keep going. Fear of starting something new is natural, so it is a mental block that we all face. But if you add on top of it bad tools or materials which will make your attempt unsuccessful the rate of you still sticking to that new idea or hobby is low.
As often we would just think: " Ah, soldering or jewelry making is not for me" but in reality it could be a combo of fear of failing, doing something for the first time and not having a lot of skill at the beginning plus bad equipment. So it is super important to set yourself up for success.

Making jewelry with soldering is a such a cool thing to learn. No one in the world will have the piece that you designed and made.

It is a perfect gif for anyone you love. Imagine giving someone a custom ring made by using their birth stone?

I highly suggest you exploring this craft - as it will bring you a lot of joy and inspiration.

Please be careful when soldering jewelry - thing get really hot. You are also working with flux so you need to work in a mask and be in a well ventilated room.
Wear eye protection as well.

So far I made 6 rings using amethyst stone, malachite, smokey quartz and corals. I am going to be making some necklaces and earrings next. I will definitely film the process. :)
