🚛 This is how a truck dispatcher works in 10 steps 📝

1️⃣ Step one: Take all Load preferences. Talk to your carrier 📞, get the complete picture - where they are 📍, where they need to be 🗺️, accessories 📦, weight limits ⚖️

2️⃣ Step two: Find a matching Load. Work the load boards 💻, be quick ⏱️...good loads don't stay on the boards for more than 5 minutes!

3️⃣ Step three: Negotiate rates 💸. Know your market, call at least 4 different brokers 📞📞📞📞. Push, but don't get hung up on because you asked for 5200 on a 600-mile run 🚚. Get the best rate possible!

4️⃣ Step four: Confirm with the Driver and Broker and book the load 📋. Provide all the details 🖊️, you don't want loads getting canceled because you forgot to mention there is a driver assist.

5️⃣ Step five: Ensure all paperwork is in order 🗂️📍. Double-check everything, and make sure all you discussed with the broker is the same on the rate con, they ARE OFTEN NOT!

6️⃣ Step six: Dispatch the driver 🚚. Make sure your driver has all the information 📝, pick-up and drop-off instructions, after-hours contacts, etc.

7️⃣ Step seven: Sit back 🪑 and wait for everything to go wrong 😅.

8️⃣ Step eight: Maintain consistent communication 📲 with him, the broker, and the driver. Why? Step 7, that's why!

9️⃣ Step nine: Submit Proof of delivery 📄.

🔟 Step ten: Exhale 😤 and repeat 🔁.
