【関東三大祭】石岡のおまつり

2023年9月16日-18日の3連休に開催された関東三大祭「北岡のおまつり」は過去最多の52万人が訪れる大盛況になりました。

中でも各町内会の「おっしゃい隊」のお囃子コール合戦は大変人気があり見どころの一つとされています。

2人の巫女さんの「浦安の舞」が静かに始まると、集まった多くの人々は、その幽玄の美しい舞に息を呑み、常陸宮総社宮は水を打ったような静粛に包まれていきました。
「浦安の舞」は皇紀二千六百年奉祝会（昭和15年）に合わせて策定された神楽舞です。
浦安の「うら」は心を指す古語であり、「うらやす」で心中の平穏を表す語であるとされています。
また、『日本書紀』に「昔伊弉諾尊目此国曰。日本者浦安国。」とあるなど、日本国は古来「浦安国」と称されており、神祇の安寧慰撫と国の平穏無事が、題名である「浦安」の語に込められているとされています。

平岡のコミュニティの絆・住民の皆様の力を結集した素晴らしい、素晴らしいお祭りでした。

When the two Shrine Maiden quietly began the Ancient Dance “Urayasu-no-mai”, the many people gathered there gasped at the ethereal beauty of the ancient dance, and the Hitachinomiya Soja Shrine was enveloped in a deeper hush.

The "Urayasu no Mai" is a kagura dance that was created in conjunction with the celebration of the 2600th anniversary of the Emperor's reign in 1940.

The "Ura" in Urayasu is an archaic word that refers to the heart, and "Urayasu" expresses peace of mind, that could be said as ultimate value of Japanese traditional culture.

It should also be noted that Japan has been called as “Urayasu-nation” since it was used in the "Nihon shoki" (Chronicles of Japan) about 1300 years ago (around BC 720).
