Everyone’s Favorite Creamy Butter Chicken

Butter chicken is also known as murgh makhani. It’s an Indian dish and is made from chicken, spices, tomato, butter, and cream. It has a rich gravy and is very easy to cook. Nowadays, it’s very popular around the world. Butter chicken recipes can vary from person to person. I used a little butter with some oil, making it less fatty. Naan or tandoori roti is the best combination with butter chicken.

Ingredients:

Chicken (boneless) - 600 gm
Ginger-garlic paste - 2 tbsp
Yogurt - 1/2 cup
Oil - 4 tbsp
Salt - 2 tsp or to taste
Kashmiri red chili powder - 3/4 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Butter - 2 tbsp
Green cardamom - 6
Mace - few strings
Tomato paste - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 2 tsp
Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Fresh cream (heavy whipping cream) - 1 cup

Marination Time: 30 minutes
