How safe is the Maruti Suzuki Fronx? Here are three things you should know:

First, to drive, the Fronx is reassuring even at higher speeds. This is good to know considering it is heavier and taller than the Baleno. The suspension was made a bit firmer to help it behave in this manner. It’s good for road and rough road conditions as it can take big hits when things get rough.

Second, in terms of safety equipment, the Fronx gets hill hold, ESC, dual front airbags and rear parking sensors as standard. You also get 360° cameras, six airbags, rear view camera on higher variants.

Third, crash test ratings. The Fronx is based on the new generation Baleno that uses the updated HEARTECT platform. This weighs 100kg more than the previous generation and is said to use more high strength materials. But the new Baleno and the Fronx haven’t been crash tested by Global NCAP yet.
