I'm a big fan of using seasoning wax to seasoning my iron cookware. My seasoning wax is a combination of Beeswax, grapeseed oil and sunflower oil.

Another very well-known method to season pans is using potato skins, coarse salt, and oil. This is the method from Cook's Illustrated:
