Ecuador and The Galápagos Islands with Gate 1 Travel {Sisters on the Fly}

I enjoyed the first real use of my passport by traveling with members of "Sisters on the Fly" to Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands with Gate 1 Travel. It was incredible! There were 9 of us "Sisters on the Fly" and three other couples on the tour, so it was a small group and we all got along wonderfully.

Gate 1 Travel was a 5-star experience and everything was flawless. The guides, our drivers, the crew aboard the catamaran, and our guide/naturalist Enrique were all outstanding. I highly recommend them and can't wait to travel with Gate 1 again. This one was the "7 day Galápagos Express" trip, which also stopped in Guayaquil and Quito, Ecuador.

Of course, the highlight of the experience for me was the opportunity to photograph so many wild animals up close. It was way beyond my expectations!! In addition to the famous giant tortoises, we saw blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, sea lions, land and marine iguanas, flamingo, penguins, starfish, white-tip reef shark, ghost crabs and Sally Lightfoot crabs, rare seagulls, pelicans, and so much more. Animals were everywhere!
