Jack, a Vietnam veteran, helps alien princess twins Mira and Lira escape assassins who overthrew their throne. They hide on his farm, repair their ship, and send a distress signal. After being captured and rescued, they develop a plan to reclaim their planet, Arvial. With Jack's help, they sabotage the usurper's regime and lead a successful assault on their palace. The twins reclaim their throne and pledge an alliance with Earth, while Jack reflects on his role in their cosmic struggle.
