Management of illnesses-what are symptomatic treatments, when and how to use them?

Following up on the videos on fever and its management (   • How to treat fever? What medications ...  ) , as well as an overview of infections and upper respiratory infections (   • Upper airway infections-an overview f...  ), I discuss approach to management of symptoms. This is treatment which is directed purely at relieving or reducing symptoms and does not usually impact on the course of the problme by itself.
