As People Professionals, we know the importance of a data driven approach to people management practices. Some things are easy to track but many that involve people are hard to measure objectively.

The Business Case for Measuring Wellbeing

The CIPD (2023) highlights that organisations who take a strategic approach to wellbeing are more likely to report better employee morale and engagement. This aligns with Gallup research that shows high engagement, often correlated with wellbeing, leads to 23% higher profitability and 81% lower absenteeism.

We also know the impact of poor mental health with research suggesting it costs UK employers up to £56 billion a year (Deloitte, 2022), and early data tracking supports prevention.
