SYNTHESISER BASICS ON THE SYNTHSTROM DELUGE

Описание к видео SYNTHESISER BASICS ON THE SYNTHSTROM DELUGE

The Synthstrom Deluge is an awesome stand-alone sampler, sequencer, drum machine and synthesiser with a tactile interface and workflow that's rapidly gaining an enthusiastic and cult following.

There's a lot of videos around that show off the sampling and sequencing side of the machine, but not so much about the synth engine, which has sometimes been viewed as a nice extra rather than a core feature. It's actually way more than that though, offering subtractive, FM and ring mod synthesis, as well a variety of processing options and the ability to program parameter changes on a beat by beat basis. The release of Version 2.0 of the firmware also included new analogue oscillator emulations, adding more warmth and vibrancy to an already impressive and highly-specced machine.

This is an overview of some of the features of the synth, and how sounds can be created and modulated over time with the sequencer. It won't show you how to program the best bass or lead sound - maybe that could be another video, but I hope it will give you a good starting point to push the Deluge further beyond simply sampling and sequencing.

Please do leave a comment or email with any thoughts, corrections or requests for other vids - this is only a small channel and I'd love to hear from you!
