In a major development Attorney General Barrister Mansur Usman Awan has publicly defended Justice Babar Sattar of Islamabad High Court amid social media campaign against him that he was an American national. Justice Sattar is target of a malicious social media campaign which saw illegal publication of his confidential family data. Justice Sattar along with five other fellow judges of Islamabad High Court wrote an unprecedented letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faez Isa complaining of intimidation and blackmailing of judges by governments powerful secret agency the ISI. A six judges bench today continued its special proceedings on that letter.
