How it's made: BGs Kydex holsters.

This is a sneak peek into the development and production process for our newest release: Glock + Inforce WILD2 holsters.

After 3D scans of a particular pistol + weapon-light combo are obtained, the development of a new mold continues with careful CAD modeling, NC programming and mold machining. This can be a complicated and time consuming process before we get it 100% right, as the mold precision is key for good retention and smooth draw with any holster.

The precisely made molds and careful temperature control during the vacuum forming process of the heated Kydex sheets ensure a crisp and repeatable form of the final product. The thermoformed sheet is precisely cut by a CNC router, the edges are carefully deburred and polished, before the cut-out is folded over and laser-engraved with our signature BGs logo. The holster is then assembled and the fit is carefully tested before the finished holster is packed into a premium Gnome bag and shipped out into the wild.
