Part of The shear Zone Channel. The unconformity at the base of the Torridon Group in NW Scotland displays some of the finest, most dramatic ancient landscapes in Europe - dating from the Neo-Proterozoic. Join Rob on a visit to some of the best parts - in the rather remote countryside of Letterewe in Wester Ross. Remarkably, these outcrops have barely been studied since the original mapping by Clough and Gunn in the 1880s and 1890s - so this is a trip into the unknown!
