I know I’m a bit late to the party, but here’s my drum audition video for the new drummer spot for Primus. (PRIMUS SUCK!) :P

The reason for the delay is that I’ve been recovering from a broken shoulder. When the announcement was made, I literally couldn’t move my arm. It took several weeks before I could even attempt to drum again. Over the last two weeks, I’ve been working hard to get back to basic beats and open-handed playing. Honestly, my doctor would probably tell me I shouldn't be doing this, but I just couldn't pass up this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to throw my hat in the ring for a chance to play with such an incredible band. You never know, right? 😉

For the audition, I put together a medley using parts of my favorite Primus tracks. They’re not necessarily the most famous songs, but they’re some of the most fun for me to play. I wanted to showcase the wide range of grooves that Primus has explored over the years, and how their music constantly evolves. The goal was to show that I could do it in one take, as has been the case for close to 15 years of doing covers on YouTube.
