Democrats just voted to shut down the Department of Homeland Security. The Senate rejected the DHS funding bill 52 to 47 and a partial shutdown could begin Saturday at midnight. Chuck Schumer is willing to cripple FEMA disaster relief, TSA airport security, Coast Guard operations, and critical cybersecurity defenses to throw a tantrum over immigration enforcement. The kicker is that ICE is already fully funded through 2029 under the one big beautiful bill. Democrats are destroying every other agency for nothing.

This segment from THE RAW FEED on Next News Network, hosted by Gary Franchi, exposes the real reason Democrats are driving this shutdown and it has nothing to do with what they are telling you. Representative Jason Smith revealed that Democrats are demanding ICE agents be banned from monitoring polling places. Think about that for one second. Why would any legal voter fear the presence of immigration enforcement at a voting location? Smith asked the question directly and Democrats had no answer. They are holding FEMA and TSA hostage to shield election fraud.

Senator John Fetterman broke ranks and torched his own party on the Senate floor. He confirmed that ICE has unlimited funding effectively and asked why Democrats would punish TSA, the Coast Guard, FEMA, and cybersecurity over an agency they cannot defund. He pointed out the insanity of announcing to foreign adversaries that our cybersecurity agency is going dark. The head of CISA warned Congress directly that when the government shuts down, cyber threats do not stop and that adversaries work around the clock. Even a brief lapse could have lasting consequences for national security.

TSA leadership described agents during the last shutdown sleeping in their cars at airports to save gas, selling blood and plasma to pay bills, and facing eviction notices while still expected to perform at the highest level in uniform. Democrats are forcing that nightmare on them again. Steve Scalise laid out the real-world damage. FEMA loses disaster relief capability during active winter storms. Eighteen people froze to death in New York City alone under Democrat leadership. Atlanta and LaGuardia airports face potential chaos affecting tens of millions of travelers.
