In this drum collab with Stephen Taylor we had a little too much fun testing some snare drum cases. I'm sure whenever researching what drum cases to buy you all have been in the same predicament as us: which one protects my drums the best, and also do I need a case to begin with? We decided to do our own drum case test and see who makes the best drum cases. We put an SKB, Gator Protector, and Humes & Berg (all hard cases, since we knew soft cases wouldn't survive) to the test! All of the cases are in the $120-130 price range, so you think the all would function the same, but man, the DON'T. We started with a drop test at roughly 4', 6', then 20ish'. Then we chucked them out of a moving tuck, pulled them behind a moving truck, and finished off with the industry standard flame thrower test. Most faired pretty well, but there was one clear winner in the end! But what would happen during these tests if there WASN'T? That needed to be answered too!

The snare at the end is still one of those cheap amazon snares that I had lying around from over the years. I did rewrap it with a bunch of green sparkle wrap scraps that were too small for any size drum, so theres like 6 seams on it lol. It may look nice, but its not...
