Volvo RTI: Installing a new display

Описание к видео Volvo RTI: Installing a new display

Since the nav system in my 2003 Volvo XC70 is outdated, and the DVD player refuses to read the maps DVD, I decided to repurpose the retractable screen for a backup camera and car information system.
Watch me replace the original 400x240 display with a new 800x480 one and test it by connecting a camera and Raspberry Pi.
This conversion is reversible. I've only drilled a couple of holes in the metal to run a few cable ties through. The rest just fits fine.

For those of you looking for the parts I used:

I replaced the original screen with an Innolux AT065TN14 panel. It's 6.5" and 800x480. I think I paid $15 for it. The controller board is unbranded. It was marketed as "LCD Driver Board for AT065TN14 AT070TN92". It costs around $12.
