Texas leads the nation in flood deaths and damage costs. At the opposite extreme, some of the most severe droughts also occur in Texas. During the next severe extended drought, many if not most of the state's water suppliers will have water shortages. Learn about Texas water resources, how we manage and use the water we have, and work to mitigate the effects of ecological disasters like floods and droughts.


About the speaker:
Raymond Slade Jr. is a certified professional hydrologist and adjunct professor who has authored more than 200 reports on Texas water resources and served on dozens of committees and groups regarding water resources.
