From 2009 to 2015, director Zheng Qiong recorded the life of 3 children from different family backgrounds, and made a documentary “A Way Out”. A village girl who dropped out of school, a town boy who was preparing for the college entrance exam for a third time , and a rebellious metropolitan girl. Their differences are radical, yet their struggle for a way out is very much the same. The question about life path in the film has aroused extensive discussion on the Internet.
