I finally got around to rebuilding my Kiss v2 Apex. Man, no wonder I was having issues with this quad.... There were just tons of things that could (and probably did) cause problems. It was definitely not a clean build. Things seems to be working well now. I can fly away after crashing and desync type tings aren't happening. All that is good stuff. So far it seems to be a finely working quad... until I break stuff. Lol.

This original build was a Kiss v1 backup build I had. When something needs fixing on the #1 quad, I flew the #2. Turns out I never really flew it because #1 was such a tank. So I basically took the #2 build and dismantled it. When I got the Kiss v2 FC, I kinda just cobbled together that parts from the backup Kiss quad and put it together all fast like.

The problems started with the first v2 FC I had. It didn't connect to the GUI properly and I couldn't activate it. Got a replacement sent out and got it installed and went out to send it. The motors seemed cursed from the beginning too. All the (blue F40 Pro's) all broke relatively fast. Strange because all the red ones I have purchased have been very durable. Weird.... Eventually the OSD board broke and I had to replace the VTX with an EVO so I would have and OSD. During all this, things were just getting messier with the electronics. Knicks in wires, wires a little shorter than they should have been, stray solder here and there, and just generally a rats nest of wires and crap.

Cleaned it all up, installed and routed new wires/harnesses. New motors, Fettec Spike Absorber and a 35v 1000uf cap, Fettec OSD board. Things feel great in regards to the flying and stuff, but the goggle image needs some work. There is some noise in the VTX signal. I'm gonna have to investigate that some. It's not horrible, but it certainly isn't good. Yay, never ending trouble shooting. Lol. That's why the v1 has been my go-to quad... It's almost always just good-to-go.

I love this album and always think of this time of year when I hear any of the songs from it. I guess it's because I listened to it a lot when I got it and I think I got it in the Fall. I listened to it A LOT. Still play it a decent amount now, but it was THE CD in my car for like 6-10 months.... Lol. Such a goooooood album.
