Ray Campi & Mystery Train Rehearsal 1980

When Ray Campi was touring in Finland the first time in 1980, he was accompanied by Mystery Train in Mikkeli, Mäntsälä and the Helsinki Fair Centre UKK Hall. Before the tour, the band rehearsed with Ray at Ari Hanninen's "Zilli Studio", where "Mr. Rockabilly" was brought by the tour organizer Johnny Flight. The boys soon felt comfortable with nice and talkative Ray Campi, who got along well with the young musicians (less than half his age), after all his profession was a school teacher.

Behind the studio door a herd of band members' friends secretly listened to the practices. You too will have the opportunity to hear what happened behind the closed door: on this video Mystery Train and Ray Campi play through the legendary song "Caterpillar". The soundtrack is from the C-cassette tape recorded at the rehearsals.
