Glorious Gloster's Last Stand - The Battle of Imjin River - Korean War

Описание к видео Glorious Gloster's Last Stand - The Battle of Imjin River - Korean War

When I was a young boy, my Grandfather spoke about the 'Glorious Glosters.' He himself had fought in the Korean War driving a flamethrowing tank/universal carrier.

What is remarkable is the story however of the Gloucestershire Regiment and their involvement in the Battle of Imjin River throughout the Korean War. Overwhelmed by 10,000 Chinese Soldiers, and suffering huge casualties, the brigade managed to retreat to the infamous Hill 235. Here they would hold off wave and wave of Chinese soldiers whilst running low on ammunition, and also suffering heavy losses. This story is a remarkable piece of history. Join us today as we look at the 'Glorious Gloster's Last Stand, at the Battle of Imjin River.'
