The residents of Ward number 12, Patan Block, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh have been facing an acute water shortage for the past few years now. Community Correspondent, Veerender Ahirwar reports on the situation.

The community taps provide all but a fickle supply 2 times a day. People queue up to get as much as they can. Most return empty handed as the water has a habit of stopping abruptly.

Most residents of this ward are Dalits. Veerender who is also a part of this community tells us that caste based discrimination in the area continues to be a major problem for the people. He hopes that through his video he will be able to bring his people better facilities and get them their rights.
