Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (a.s.) has said that the recitation of this Surah brings good fortune to the reciter and constant recitation by those who have been imprisoned secures an early release from bondage.

According to a Prophetic tradition: "One who recites Surah al-Tur shall be safe from torment and shall enjoy Divine Favors in Paradise.” Another tradition narrated from Imam Baqir (as) reads: "One who recites Surah al-Tur shall be grated Divine Good in this world and the Hereafter."
