The Minister for Digital & Financial Services says Gibraltar’s grey listing is disappointing.

But, Albert Isola is confident the Rock will be removed from the list by the Financial Action Task Force in 12 months’ time.

In a positive address to over 200 gaming and financial services professionals at the KPMG eSummit, Mr Isola said Gibraltar didn’t expect to find itself under increased monitoring by the global money laundering and terrorist financing watchdog.

He told our reporter Jonathan Scott that the U.K. government’s Treasury department had acknowledged that a lot of hard work has gone into this in recent years, congratulating Gibraltar for the considerable progress made - while recognising the listing is disappointing.
