About this video: You will need a few basic modules when you start out your pirating career in Elite Dangerous. In this video I show you the basics of piracy in the game. You will need a Hatch Breaker Limpet Controller module and Hatch Breaker Limpets (ammo bought in the munitions menu). You can also get an optional Cargo Scanner module, if you want to check out what cargo a juicy target freighter is carrying. The first thing you want to do is find a suitable target in super cruise and pull the ship out of supercruise by using a Frameshift Drive Interdictor module and then disable the targets shields by shooting at them. When the shields are down launch your Hatch Breaker Limpets so that they'll make their way to the enemy ship and attach themselves and open the cargo hatch making all of the cargo fall out into space. If you launch your Hatch Breaker Limpets before the enemys shields are down the Hatch Breaker Limpets will be destroyed. Quickly pick up all of the cargo canistors with your Cargo Scoop and make your way to a space station with a Black Market. You can see a stations services on the Galaxy Map. You can only sell your pirated goods on the Black Market. To access the black market at a space station select the Contacts menu. Good luck!
