Dozens of Texas state legislators fled to D.C. to deny the GOP-held legislature a quorum and block actions to restrict voting rights in the state. Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) has already called a second special session, to begin tomorrow, in order to pass Republican priorities, like the voting restrictions, as well as a ban on school mask mandates and anti-trans legislation regarding youth sports.
