After the fall is just a short video I wanted to make to talk about one of the things I hear a lot from people outside of the prepping community. Even within the group of those who would consider themselves "collapse-aware," I still encounter this resistance to the idea of trying to prepare for survival. My explanations about trying to spread awareness about the need to prepare for the collapse of civilization are met with accusations that I am "fearmongering." And that is the part I don't really understand.

Because one of the biggest points about prepping is that it helps relieve you of fear and anxiety. When you know you are ready for whatever may come, fears tend to melt away. And the same can be said for embracing the inevitable collapse that is coming soon. Recognizing the reality, seeing it as truth in your own mind, accepting it, this greatly helps alleviate the worry and stress of uncertainty.

There is no "fear" of collapse then. Only readiness and acknowledgment. Those who somehow think the collapse of civilization is something to be feared, well, I can only surmise that such apprehension has something to do with the feelings of not being capable of surviving it. Denial can be a very strong defense mechanism, a way of coping with something that you know to be true deep down, but that you consciously refuse to recognize. Denying that truth may help you get through today, but it only hinders your ability to get past tomorrow.

Because the collapse of civilization is an inevitable reality. Your disbelief or denial of it has no effect on the truth of the matter. It is coming soon, and will be rapid and dramatic when it does.

It is best to recognize that. Best to be prepared for it. And best to start coping with it now, so that it holds no surprises for you later...
