Last month, during the ‘DST-CII Technology Summit’, conducted by the Department of Science and Technology, GOI,…’Indian Institute of Technology Madras’ was declared the ‘Most Innovative Institute of the Year 2020 for its disruptive innovations’. The institute was awarded for its exceptional innovations in the field of healthcare, technology and other sectors. One of these innovations was India’s first standing wheelchair called ARISE.
