Export contracts can either be formal or informal. However, it is always preferred to use a formal export contract wherein the involved parties duly sign the written terms and conditions. Although it is common practice to export products based on proforma invoice or quotation received from exporters, it is safer to utilize written and legal export contracts. These documents are associated with several laws and regulations that govern India’s exports and imports.
