Tuckfest.....and (trying to) improve the roll - Beginner Whitewater Kayaking

Ashley - Several years ago I came to Tuck Fest and participated in their flat water kayak race. I knew I wanted to one day make the jump from flat water to real water and this year was finally that year! This day was mostly about just enjoying Tuck Fest... but it was also about working to continue my progression with whitewater kayaking and knowing that it's okay to fall short sometimes when you're still new and are still in the learning phase. I'm typically someone that doesn't like to fail, strives to be tough, and desperately wants to be the best that I can be -- sometimes whitewater has a different plan and timeline for you. But at the end of the day, you just have to keep showing up and keep putting that work in to continue to progress!
