On 6 July 2024, C751B EMU 311 was sent to Toyotron scrapyard for its official retirement.

This marks a very key retirement of the 3rd generation NSEWL rolling stock. The one and only 1999 delivered KNS C751B was unfortunately sent for scrap after being MIA since 21 June 2024. This also marks the extinction of all Kawasaki-Built C751Bs on the NSEWL fleet. This brings down the remaining number of KNS C751B sets to 4, and they were built by Nippon Sharyo.
