Chrono24 Recap - Dubai Watch Week 2017 | Chrono24 had the pleasure of spending a week in Dubai this past month for the third edition of Dubai Watch Week. It may sound like a great place to relax and surely it has its perks, DWW is the region's largest watch exhibition show. Indeed, Dubai Watch Week is not a trade show, the main idea is not to sell watches but to share the love and passion for these wonderful time pieces. Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the largest retailer in the region, and organiser of DWW wanted to create an event that not only advertise the watch brands, but through a number of panel talks, watch making workshops and creative hubs educate and entertain visitors.

Brands like IWC, Panerai, Chopard or Roger Dubuis all lined up to share their latest creation with the visitors and press in the exhibition halls. Independent brands from Grönefeld to Armin Strom or Voutilainen also brought their creations to present to the Dubai crowd. In another tent visitors could see each and every winner of this year's GPHG or try a virtual reality simulator courtesy of FHH.

All in all, Dubai Watch Week is a great and useful initiate, something the watch world needed badly. It's is not only educative but brings brands and press together in a way not many events can. We are humbled and proud to be the part of it and would surely return in 2020 for the next one.
