Everyone, including you knows that
The times have changed, at least
For the time being
Your status quo has travelled
Out of the ballpark, suddenly
Life seems like a house arrest

Take a deep breath…
What do you experience now?
In reality, it is Life challenging you to
To a brand new adventure
Egging you to traipse the
Already known to you
Little joys you were missing
In you robotic existence
The playful sparrow tweeting on
Your balcony rails,
The clouds shaping your
Childhood scrapbook memories,
The burnt omelette made by you
Tasting like heaven
The triumph of scrubbing off
The last vestiges of grime
From the collar of your shirt
And many more such little
Spaceships of happiness, which you
Can easily find around you,
Can in reality transport you
To a world of bliss,
You always longed for.
Think of this as an opportunity
Cleansing the clutter
Off your mind,
Readying you for your next
Great voyage!
If we can all together
Ward off this invasion,
You could be back being
Clockwork Orange like before.
Or?
Take a deep breath..
What do you experience now?
You are being offered
Two choices by ‘yourself’
One. Going back to your old life, work
Perks, weekend clubbing, late
Night movies, dinners, etc.
Two. Going ahead to create a
Whole new algorithm for yourself
That could make you be the change
You want to see in the World.
The choice is entirely yours,
You are the Entitled One
For your actions and reactions.
Bring out all the till-now-life-experiences,
Knowledge, anecdotes, accomplishments
And of course failures
Out of the heavily stacked cupboards
In your mind’s locker room.
Throw and juggle them all
In air, and wait for them
To transform into a Genie
A Genie created by you,
To make all wishes come true
The teenaged dreams that you had steered
Away from, for material safety
And emotional security by
Intentionally boxing your soul
Into a box.
Only you can break
The casket to rise like
The proverbial phoenix,
Climb out of your slumber
To ideate and design a
Brand new life for yourself
Your loved ones,
And the world
Are you ready in these supposedly
Not so great times?


Only you can lift your own spirits.
