Learn how to make your Scratch game start only when you press a button!

When you press the green flag, the player can start moving around. However, to make the game start only when you press a start button, you can use code to broadcast a message called "start" when a user clicks the start button sprite in your player sprite. Then, move your player control to a new event called "when I receive start." This way, the game won't start until you press the button.

To make the start button hide when the user clicks it and show when they click the green flag, and do the opposite for the player sprite, you can add code to hide and show the sprites accordingly.
