PART 4 - The Road to Alaska Leads to Tuktoyaktuk.

This is part 4 of 4 (Teslin Lake, YT to Amherstburg, ON).

In this episode we ride the Cassiar Highway from Teslin Lake, YT to Stewart, BC and into Hyder, AK for some bear and glacier viewing. Then we make our way past Smithers, BC, Prince George, BC and south to Clearwater, BC where we check out HelmecknFalls in Wells Grey Provincial Park. We then continue through Kamloops to Revelstoke, BC before arriving at Lake Louise and heading north on the iconic Icefields Parkway. We they stay in Banff before heading to Calgary to stay with a friend and try gravity carts! From there we head back to Cold Lake to pick up the car and trailer and make our way home.

We trailered the bikes from Amherstburg, Ontario to Cold Lake, Alberta then rode over 14,000 kms up to Alaska and the Arctic Ocean at Tuktoyaktuk. All in all we travelled over 20,000 kms (6,000 towing the bikes and 14,000 riding) in just under 2 months time.

On this entire trip we visited:
Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Saskatchewan, Alberta, BC, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Alaska.

We travelled on some iconic routes including:
The AlCan (Alaska Highway), Stewart-Cassiar Highway, Richardson Highway, Denali Highway, McCarthy Road, Top of the World Highway, Icefield Parkway, Salmon Glacier Road and the infamous Dempster Highway and Inuvik-Tuktoyaktuk Highway.

Dipping our feet into the Arctic Ocean was an amazing accomplishment for us (yeah it's cold) and I was fortunate to have my wife Leslie and my son Michael riding with me on this trip. The views and people we met along the way were increadible experiences we would not soon forget.
