The Shanghai Museum houses the Chinese Currency Gallery showcasing a complete timeline of the varied currency systems in Chinese history. This Gallery is developed from the Museum’s vast collection of antique currencies.

The Chinese Seal Gallery in the Shanghai Museum is the first gallery of its kind in the world that displays a comprehensive history of antique Chinese seals. Nearly 500 exhibits have been carefully selected from the Museum’s collection of about 15,000 seals. Each seal is a witness to history.

The Ancient Chinese Sculpture Gallery in the Shanghai Museum offers the perspective of sculptural art. A landscape of antique Chinese sculpture is unrolled through the display of various sculptures, including bone carvings, jade carvings, sculptures, wooden and pottery figurines, stones with inscriptions and bronze.
