WHO ARE THE ORTHODOX?

Fr. Panayiotis Papageorgiou, Ph.D sits down with Idol Killer to discuss the origins, beliefs and practices of Eastern Orthodoxy.

Fr. Panayiotis has a long list of accomplishments which include a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, a Master of Divinity with High Distinction from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Boston, a Ph.D. from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. with a specialization in the history and theology of the Early Christian Church. He is currently serving as the presiding presbyter of Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church of Marietta Georgia. Fr. Panayiotis is also a member of the International Association for Patristic Studies, the Orthodox Theological Society of America and the North American Patristic Society. He has presented research papers at the International Conferences on Patristic Studies at Oxford University and other Patristic Conferences. Additionally, he has published the First Volume of his translation of the Homilies of St. John Chrysostom on Romans and is now working on completing and publishing the second volume.

Fr. Panayiotis is also the CEO and theological consultant for Trisagion Films, a ministry covering aspects of Orthodox worship and practice, pilgrimage, the lives of the saints, iconography and the sacred arts, and recordings of homilies, interviews, and special events.
