Categories are the most basic method of grouping content on a WordPress site. Categorizing your content represents one topic or group of topics that are connected to one another. A single post can fit in many different categories at the same time. The point of having your content neatly organized is to make it easier for the reader to find it.

For example, if you own a bakery shop and you have multiple recipe blog posts for brownies, cupcakes, and cakes. You can add 3 new categories namely Brownies, Cupcakes, and Cakes. This makes it easier for your visitor to find what they are looking for and improves their experience.
