SCCH Webinar: Creative Coping: Mindful Doodling 2024

Описание к видео SCCH Webinar: Creative Coping: Mindful Doodling 2024

Discover how something as simple as abstract line art can serve as a mode for self-expression with artist Jayna Wong. Originally recorded on August 31, 2024.

Practice letting go of perfectionism and honing in on the fun of the process. Intuitive line art, or mindful doodling, offers a way to express yourself and reflect on life when you don't have the words.

About Jayna Wong: Jayna was born and raised in Koʻolaupoko on Oʻahu, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Microbiology at the University of Hawaiʻi. What surprises most people though, is that outside of the laboratory she can be found painting, knitting, and drawing. A lifelong artist, Jayna's art reflects on her upbringing and life in Hawaiʻi, and mainly consists of realism painting. However, the unique stresses of graduate school have necessitated that Jayna think of new ways to "stay sane"- intuitive, confidence-building methods of self-care and meditation through drawing, or "doodling".
