Elgin High Football: STREAMWOOD October 16 1992

It was a playoff game of sorts. Both entered this game 3-3 and the loser was out of the playoff hunt. Donny Johnson opened the scoring for Elgin on a 34 yard run at 5:03 of the first quarter, Rich Busch's extra point kick being good. Johnson increased Elgin's lead with a 72 yard punt return, kick good, at 10:54 of the second quarter and Elgin led at the half 14-0. The third quarter was scoreless, and Busch added to Elgin's lead with a 21 yard field goal with 9:50 left in the game. Streamwood scored a consolation touchdown with 2:29 left in the game on a Walter Davis eight yard run, and Holte passed to Chris Zerba for the two to close out the scoring.
