However, be extremely cautious, especially in the early stages of your relationship. Sending money too soon can make you an easy target for scams. Beyond scammers, you may also encounter cultural expectations where some Filipina families assume that a foreign partner will provide for them. While generosity is admirable, it’s essential to set clear boundaries to avoid being taken advantage of.
