Actress Poonam Pandey's husband Sam Bombay was arrested by Mumbai police on November 8 on the charges of physical assault. Poonam has suffered serious injuries on her head, hand, eye and face. Reports say that the actress was admitted to a hospital post the incident. This is not Poonam's first police complaint against Sam, he was earlier arrested by Goa police in 2020 after the actress had filed a complaint against her husband for assaulting and threatening her. Back then, in an exclusive chat with Bombay Times Poonam had revealed that Sam hit her during an argument and then 'banged her head against the corner of the bed'. She had then said, 'Sam and I had an argument, which escalated, and he began hitting me. He choked me and I thought I was going to die. He punched me in my face, pulled me by my hair and banged my head against the corner of the bed. He knelt on my body, pinned me down and assaulted me. Somehow, I managed to break free and bolted out of the room. The hotel staff called the cops, who took him away.' The actress had then decided to end the relationship, but somehow reconciled with her husband. Sam Ahmed Bombay and Poonam tied the knot in September 2020 at her home in Bandra. He is a director, producer and editor and this is his second marriage. Sam was born and brought up in Dubai, he was earlier married to a model Elle Ahmed and the couple has two kids. On the work front he has worked on a few ad-films with Deepika Padukone, Tamannaah Bhatia and others. Sam has also directed a few songs including Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani's 'Befikra,' and Vidyut Jammwal and Urvashi Rautela's 'Gal Ban Gayi.' Coming back to Poonam Pandey, the internet sensation has worked in Kannada and Telugu movies. Poonam Pandey made her way into Bollywood with 2013 film 'Nasha'.
