🚐 Starting Our Journey: Ryley and I are kicking off our month-long van life adventure, visiting places like Colorado and using the iOverlander app to find free camping spots.
🥶 Dealing with Frost: We ran into our first problem with frost forming inside the van rather than outside, which is definitely concerning.
🎿 Skiing Struggles: At A-Basin, the altitude really got to us, and after a few runs, we were exhausted and had to take it easy for the rest of the day.
🔧 Van Issues Crop Up: On our way down from the resort, we realized the van was losing power—pretty sketchy while driving in the mountains! We called Mercedes for help and followed their advice, but the uncertainty lingers.
🚽 Dumping Dilemmas: When we stopped to dump the black water, things got worse as the hose didn’t fit, which made an already stressful day even more frustrating.
🔥 Heater Problems at Night: That night, the heater failed, and we had to tough it out in the cold. It was only 5°C, and with colder days coming, this needs to be fixed ASAP.
🏔️ Exploring Copper Mountain: The next day, we hit Copper Mountain for some snowboarding, met some new friends, and got in some good runs despite everything.
